Eight Panther Prints staff members were recognized for their work submitted to the Texas Press Women contest for various categories.

“We are very excited to have done so well in this contest,” publications adviser James Rich said. “This is just evidence of a job well done by the students during the school year.”

Individuals placing in the contest were:
Olivia Davila- 1st place in Sports Photo category
Kennedy Stidham-1st place Review writing
Cody Rogers – 2nd place Sports Photo and Third Place Feature Photo
Abigail Padgett- 2nd place Sports Photo
Chrystal Rhone- 3rd place Sports Photo
Allie Peregory- 3rd place Feature Story and Honorable Mention Sports Story
Weston HIll 3rd place Sports Story
Lisette Lopez- 3rd place Sports Story
Jenine Hamed – Honorable Mention Sports Story
Valarie Cardenas- Honorable Mention News Story

Olivia Davila and Kennedy Stidham will both advance to the National Federation of Press Women Contest later this year.

“I wish these two students well on the national level,” Rich said. “I feel like their work speaks for itself and will do well on the national level.”
